Accessing Military Antennas For Civilians

By Elaine Guthrie

Our armed forces use extra ordinary equipment wherever they operate. Equipment failure leads to operation failure resulting in the loss of life. Communication constitutes a vital area where an armed forces operation is concerned. It becomes possible with the use of military antennas and other attendant equipment. These together make possible passing of crucially strategic information between commanders and their troops located in differing locations.

Our military motivation rests on the need to remain ahead of our enemies always. It is not easy to secure information channels on the battlefield. Hackers, as an example, are very adept at stealing dollars in billions from financial and other institutions. Our armed forces require stopping this from happening to their systems. They have commissioned designing of hack-proof gadgets, which secures uninterrupted communications between points. Our enemies would have a powerful weapon if they obtained this information.

The antennas make up gives them capabilities to securely encrypt, encode and decode. They function despite the operation theater. It does not matter if it is aboard a submarine in the depths of the ocean or an Air Force jet soaring miles above at a speed twice that of sound. They also possess capabilities and designs, which allow their concealment in plain sight. This means their deployment in the enemies territory is undetected.

A mission often takes troops to unforgiving terrain with harsh environments. These include temperatures beyond normal human endurance in deserts. It could be in temperatures well below zero on ice continents. No ordinary electronic gadget would remain functionally operational within such conditions. The equipment is, therefore, made in such that a specially trained soldier will be able to use them expertly despite the extremely harsh environment or weather condition.

The special antennas work with the conversion of radio waves into electrical currents and vice versa securely. In this regard, special transmitters and receivers constitute the components of this equipment. They have special circuits that designed to work optimally in information conveying within remote scenarios.

The masts hosting the antennas are specially designed so that they offer secure support as well as protect them. Every part of the antenna and its mast features designs and construction using strict military standards. Under harsh terrain severe strain and stress on the equipment is inevitable. The equipment is, therefore, made using proactive cover material capable of securing the antenna in any weather condition and against strong impact. Extra features enable self-illumination for night visibility.

A number of reasons support civilian operations needs to purchase these pieces of communication equipment. These include private corporation security, rescue missions, mountain climbing and camping in remote areas. Surplus antennas are readily available for civilian purchase at various price levels. Their availability however points to the fact that new and better designs have come up which means the older models can be disposed through selling off to civilians.

There are a number of options to get the aerials through purchase by the non-military. A client could simply walk to a store stocking military surplus equipment and make a buy. There are many outlets online to choose from. Reviews and various recommendations about different models are available on the internet. They allow prospective buyers select those models meeting their specific needs.
